Build people skills, learn tech skills How we work at Constant Companion
It’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it that helps us succeed long-term.
At Constant Companion, we believe none of us are smarter than all of us. From this belief, we are led to work collaboratively. Our user is at the heart of everything we do. We ask questions about how will this improve our user's experience? How will it make life better for them? We then use R&D, data, and empathy to develop better ways that technology can help our customers. Throughout our journey of serving customers, we have adopted valuable work processes to help us to focus on what matters and continually improve. We use Lean to promote the flow of value to the customer through continuous improvement and respect for people. See how we work.
Agile methodology is a proven process we’ve adopted that involves greater flexibility and ongoing gradual planning versus long-term planning. Agile helps thousands of organizations across the world constantly adapt to change and use customer feedback to build better products. The Agile method helps people, teams and organizations generate value through adaptive solutions to complex problems.
Google adopted the OKR framework in 1999 during its first year of business which has supported its growth from 40 employees to more than 60,000 today. OKR is a simple, proven, high-cadence process that engages team perspective and creativity to ensure everyone is moving in the same direction, with clear priorities, in a rhythm.
We address challenges through tiger teams. These cross-functional teams collaborate to study and solve crucial issues. Just like the military and the space program, we use tiger teams to effectively solve problems and lead change.
A Learning Culture
from Industry Experts
Our leadership brings decades of experience from Fortune 100 organizations like Amazon and Apple. We openly share mentorship with everyone at Companion. It’s a unique culture that we’ve designed to ensure all employees understand why decisions are made by leadership and have access to this brilliance regularly.
Among all the Fortune 100 companies, 78 have been reported to say they use LinkedIn Learning to help their employees reskill, and we’re no different! While a recent study also found 84% of managers believe online learning can help close skills gaps in their teams, every employee has access and is encouraged to learn.
Regular FedEx Innovation Days
Every year, we hold an event where employees are focused on delivering innovation unobstructed from their regular responsibilities. It’s called a FedEx Day because you have to deliver overnight like the parcel delivery company. It’s a really fun time of year where we work on tough challenges together and is thoroughly enjoyed by all.
