Constant Companion is a US company that combines cutting edge technology with best in class primary care. Quite simply, Constant Companion’s mission is to make people’s lives better. They make customised, ultra-secure, smart and safe security-enabled voice-assist home systems and they needed a new platform to showcase their products and services.


The Challenge

Greenwood Campbell engaged with Constant Companion in 2018 after the company discovered a research piece by GC focused on using voice technology to alleviate loneliness in older people.

Quickly establishing a rapport through their companies shared values of empathy and making people’s lives better through technology we began looking at opportunities to collaborate.

After rapid organic acceleration, Constant Companion recognised an opportunity for consolidation of all digital real estate into one, platform. After a competitive pitch process Greenwood Campbell won the project and began work.
The ultimate goal of the project was to consolidate what had become a cloudy digital landscape for Constant Companion. There were a number of additional sites that were diluting the overall message and the UI of the current was counterproductive for sales conversion and customer retention / experience.

The project team from the client side was multifaceted and included representatives from marketing, brand, sales and IT. The project was led by the Constant Companion CEO.

What we did

Greenwood Campbell deployed a first rate team of account managers, front and back end developers, business analysts and content strategists. The project quickly broke down into several concurrent lanes as we had an aggressive deadline to hit before the new year.

We kicked off the project with a discovery session where the GC team interrogates the original project brief and we really drill down into the requirements of the project. This is a crucial first step as it often uncovers the real reason behind a project and allows us to focus our efforts on what really matters to the business.

We used a mixture of Agile and Waterfall methodologies to successfully deliver the project. This was managed by weekly sprints and regular project governance calls.

Exceeding Expectations

Due to travel restrictions across the globe, this project was won, built and delivered during several national lockdowns both in the UK and the US. This presented its own unique set of challenges but despite the remote nature of the project both the GC and CC teams worked fantastically well together and the project was delivered on time and on budget on New Year’s Eve 2020.


This is just the start of the relationship between GC and CC and we are already looking at what we can collaborate on for phase two, including several new projects.
